What do avocados, grapefruit, macadamia nuts, lettuce, cilantro and eggs all have in common? (Everyone will get this). You’re right! They all grow here – and they deserve a place in your biggest salad bowl singing a song of harmony. Even the least seasoned of cooks – no pun intended – can make this salad. Here’s how it goes, and it will go, until it’s gone…
- garden greens – here I used a soft romaine to fill the base of my bowl
- add avocado that has been chunked in a separate bowl with lime and sea salt added, mixed, then added to the greens
- 1/4 grapfruit, peeled, seeded if necessary and chunked
- macadamia nuts (toasted would be nice…)
- homemade mayonnaise thinned with your choice of vinegar (this is where the egg came from 🙂
- cracked pepper and sea salt
- cilantro for garnish
Assemble how you like and dig in!
