…A few important notes…

We’re not going for 100% local. There are many things we love that just aren’t readily available or accessible locally – such as rice, pasta, tortillas, noodles, etc. We’re shooting for better eating for our food system, not perfect.

The majority of our customers are meal eaters so you’ll see a local protein featured in each day’s meal, but feel free to swap out the meat with veggies if you’re a vegetarian!

We’re not providing detailed step by step recipes here, just local meal plan ideas. Recipes are easily Google’d, and so many of you are great cooks already- we figured you might wing it anyways!

Sunday: Marrow Fried Rice with Local Veggies
Stir rich, flavorful bone marrow into day-old rice. Then wok-fried with local veggies, garlic, and a splash of shoyu. Topped with green onions and served with a side of fresh cucumber kimchi for a perfect umami-packed meal.

Monday: Hawaiian Chicken Sausage Tacos
Juicy chicken sausage slices tucked into warm corn tortillas. Top with a crunchy cabbage slaw and a drizzle of spicy liliko‘i dressing. Then serve with a side of pickled onions for that extra flair.

Tuesday: Island-Style Beef & Broccoli Stir-Fry
Tender, seared local beef stir-fried with crisp broccoli and tossed in a sweet and savory shoyu-ginger sauce. Served over steaming jasmine rice with a side of Kaua’i local greens and ‘ulu cesar dressing.

Wednesday: Zoodles with Chicken Sausage & Luau Leaf Pesto
Spiralize zucchini noodles and toss them with chicken sausage. You can make a vibrant luau leaf & macadamia nut pesto, and a touch of marinara for a light yet satisfying dish.

Thursday: Sweet Potato & Sausage Hash with Poached Egg
Diced local sausage sautéed with caramelized onions and cubes of roasted Okinawan sweet potatoes. Then topped with a perfectly poached egg and a sprinkle of sea salt for a comforting breakfast-for-dinner meal.

Friday: Veggie Benedict with Taro English Muffin
A tropical twist on a classic! Roasted kabocha, sautéed luau leaves, and a farm-fresh poached egg served on a toasted with a locally-made English muffin, smothered in creamy liliko‘i hollandaise.

Saturday: Ground Pork Zucchini Boats
Hollowed-out zucchini filled with a rich, smoky blend of ground pork, garlic, and onions. Finally, bake until golden and slightly crispy. Serve with a side of fresh greens and Maui onion dressing.
