…A few important notes…

We’re not going for 100% local. There are many things we love that just aren’t readily available or accessible locally – such as rice, pasta, tortillas, noodles, etc. We’re shooting for better eating for our food system, not perfect.

The majority of our customers are meal eaters so you’ll see a local protein featured in each day’s meal, but feel free to swap out the meat with veggies if you’re a vegetarian!

We’re not providing detailed step by step recipes here, just local meal plan ideas. Recipes are easily Google’d, and so many of you are great cooks already- we figured you might wing it anyways!

Sunday – Comfort Bowl Night

🍲 Sausage and Bean Stew
Portuguese sausage, white beans, tomatoes, and kale simmered in a hearty broth.

Serve with hot rice or taro rolls. Maybe a side of fresh salad mix for that cooling balance.

Monday – Island Roast Night

🍗 Teriyaki Roasted Chicken
Whole chicken marinated in soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and honey.

Roast until golden and juicy. Serve with furikake rice and steamed bok choy. Pair with a local cabbage coleslaw for crunch and fiber.

Tuesday – Local Sushi Twist

🍣 Fish Jerky Sushi Rolls
Rehydrate ahi jerky, shred it up, and roll with avocado, cucumber, and sushi rice.

Wrap in nori and serve with shoyu, wasabi, and pickled ginger. Bonus: toss some pickled onions in the roll for a crunchy kick.

Wednesday – ‘Ohana Chicken Night

🔥 Peruvian-Style Roast Chicken
Marinated in lime, cumin, paprika, and garlic — juicy with a kick!

Serve with roasted Okinawan sweet potatoes and a green papaya salad. A squeeze of calamansi to top it off!

Thursday – Pau Hana Fajita Bar

🌮 Beef Fajitas
Grilled strips of beef with sautéed onions, peppers, and chili-lime seasoning.

Serve with tortillas, avocado, pico de gallo, and a fresh fruit salad on the side. Make it DIY style!

Friday – Local Kine Brunch for Dinner

🍳 Sausage and Potato Hash

Crispy golden potatoes with Portuguese sausage, onions, and sweet peppers.

Top with a fried egg or two and serve with a side of sourdough toast & pineapple jam.

Saturday – Fusion Feast

A Latin-Hawaiian fusion dish with ground beef, olives, raisins, local carrots and island-style spices.

Serve with jasmine rice and a side of pan-fried green banana. Maybe fresh salad and Maui onion dressing to round it out.
