CSA Cooking Show: Dragonfruit-Mango Slurpees

On Kaua‘i, summer is defined by the ripening of long-awaited fruit — lychee, mango, dragonfruit, soursop and countless others which translates to smoothies, fruit bowls, breads, and now dragonfruit-mango slurpees!

A life without local food is like a lifetime without summer and we all need to eat so why not eat well? Traditional slurpees are super sweet and super cold but lack any kind of nutritional value. Like zero. Cue this fruit forward alternative with bubbly sparkling water and a burst of fresh citrus that will curb your convenience store cravings and have you slurping homemade slurpees on the regular.

If you were lucky enough to snag one of our 5 lb. bags of peeled and pre-frozen mango from our online store then all the hard work is done. If you feel like making this an adult beverage you can splash in some tequila and triple sec and call it a day!
