DOE Keiki Feeding Program

Three Kauai schools have been designated to provide free grab-and-go breakfast and lunch for children 18 years or younger. Meals will be placed in containers and located outside of the cafeteria. There will be no access to the cafeteria. Youth will be able to pick up meals on weekdays at:

  • Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School
  • Koloa Elementary School
  • Kapa’a High School
  • Waimea High School
  • Kekaha Elementary
  • Kilauea Elementary
  • Breakfast: 7:30 to 8 a.m.
    Due to food safety, the meal must be consumed by 10 a.m.
  • Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
    Due to food safety, the meal must be consumed by 2 p.m.

Kaua’i schools will not have grab and go from Friday, May 29 – Friday, June 5. They will resume on Monday, June 8th.

Farm-to-School CSA Box Distribution

As resources are limited, families who are financially able to, are encouraged to utilize Malama Kauai’s Local Food Connector information hub to purchase from local farmers’ offerings such as home CSA deliveries – www.malamakauai.org/mk/kauai-food-systems-resources

Keiki CSA Box Deliveries

We are currently hosting a limited program for Keiki CSA Box deliveries to reach keiki without transportation to feeding sites. For low-income families with keiki who are without reliable transportation access to Food Pantries and Feeding Sites – if you are in need of receiving emergency food deliveries please complete our Intake Form Here.
