Hui Hanai Ai Cohort & Grant Program

Mālama Kauaʻi’s 9-month cohort program, Hui Hānai ʻAi, provides $12,858 awards to scale-up commercial local food business!

Only Kanaka Maoli (Native Hawaiian) and Native American farmers, ranchers, & value-added product producers are eligible for the program, which is funded by Native American Agriculture Foundation.

Application & Program Timeline:

    *Grant applications processed as they come in, sooner you apply the better! It is HIGHLY recommended that you attend a live session or review a recording to learn more about the program before applying
  • Dec 31, 2024: Last Chance to Apply
  • Interviews & Site Visits: Conducted as apps come in, apply early!
  • Feb 1, 2025: Grants Awarded by this date, Monthly 1:1’s & Purchasing Begins
  • August 2025: Selling Products on KLF & Purchases Complete
  • Sept 2025: Projects Fully Completed & Final Site Visits
  • October 2025: Grantee Dinner
